How does scoring work in pickleball?
What does sudden-death scoring mean?
Sudden death means the next point wins the game. For example, in a game to 11 points, if the score reaches 10–10, the next point scored will decide the match. The usual serving rules still apply—you must be serving to win the point.
When do players change ends during a game?
For games played to 11 points, players change ends when the first team reaches 6 points.
For games played to 15 points, players change ends when the first team reaches 8 points.
I’ve entered a tournament — when will I be notified of my first match?
You will receive an email approximately 6 days before the event with arrival times and venue information.
A second email will be sent around 3 days before the event containing the draw and your full match schedule.
We finalise draws as late as possible to accommodate any withdrawals or replacements.
